Wiley & White Boy

My name is Julie Green and I will turn the BIG 50 on July 11. 2001. I really don't feel like I'm gonna be 50 - at least MOST of the time !! I live in Troy, Ohio - a nice small, but growing town, about 90 miles north of Cincinnatti. My husband, Bill and I, will be married 20 years in March, 2001.

Love is absolutely better the second time around !!!
I have a step-daughter, Monica, who will turn 30 this year, my daughter Melissa, 27, and son, Jamey who is 24. Jamey has given me the cutest grandson in the world ( don't all grandparenats think that ) named Zayne who is 3 1/2.
Jamey is living back at home right now, so Zayne is here every other weekend. I enjoy him to death, but am ready for him to go home when it's time. He can really wear Mamaw out !!
We also have one of Jamey's friends, John, living with us. We think of him as our red-haired step-child. He is my husbands sitting on the porch, drinking beer, and talking about work buddy.

I have many passions. Of course one of them is ferrets, that's why I'm here in this newsgroup. I have two ferrets, Wiley and Bauble. Bauble had adrenal surgery last summer and that is how I got involved with these wonderful people. I am an avid animal-lover of all kinds.
I have a cock-a-poo named Daisey, who's just the sweetest dog in the world. And AS OF THIS MOMENT, I have 6 cats. I just found a new fluffy white kitten this weekend, whom I'm hoping will be staying.

I love cars (old cars.) and have a 1963 Jaguar XKE roadster. ( you can see a picture of it at the bottom.) We showed it on the concours circuit for 5 years and at one time was 3rd in the nation in my class.
I LOVE THAT CAR !!!! I'm the best little engine cleaner there is. We no longer show it because we have gotten involved in other things. We met many wonderful people during that time and will always cherish the fun times we had going to the car shows.

Bill and I were really into country dancing for several years, took alot of lessons and even taught a few at the nursing home that he worked at. It was GREAT exercise and I could just dance all night.

Our current passion now is NASCAR !!!! We go to Bristol and Charlotte every year. And also have been to Martinsville, Michigan, Talladega, Richmond, and others. My driver is the #24, JEFF GORDON, Bill likes #3, Dale Earnhardt, Jamey likes Little E #8, and John is a Tony Stewart fan #20. So we have a blast on race day !!!
We have a motorhome and always camp with a bunch of about 12 or more friends and we have so much fun. All my kids go and I feel so lucky that we all enjoy a sport where we can all go together and have such a good time. We have several friends that are on teams so we have been very lucky to be in the pits at quite a few races.
Last year I was able to get Jeff Gordon's autograph for a friend of my Mom's who is dying of cancer and is such a HUGE Gordon fan. He was gracious enough to put her name on it and will probably never realize how much that meant to her.

Now my son has gotten me watching the WWF - can you smell what the ROCK is cooking !!!!!!!!

I have worked in a nursing home for 8 years in the business office doing medicare and medicaid and all sorts of things. Before that I was in banking for over 23 years.
It really is a crazy business that revolves around the best people in our society, our elderly. I'm also a certified nursing assistant, but don't get a chance to work out on the floor much anymore. I miss it because it reminds us of the true reason why we are working- for our Residents.

Well, I guess that's enough- needless to say my other passion is my WEBTV !!!!! HELP - I'm doing email and I can't quit typing !!!!!!!!!!!

OH! Before I forget, you all remember Bauble my little hairless wonder? Well, she has her hair now as well as the propensity to drive her fastidious mother up the wall. I like my drawers nice and neat, but she seems to have other ideas. Her motto is " Messy is best." Just take a look. Poor Mommy can't win.

See what I mean?
ROFL!
